Scottsdale Laser Hair Removal Clinics

By

When it comes to beauty, there are few things women find more important than safe and effective hair removal. While there are plenty of options for getting rid of unwanted body hair, not many provide long-term results like laser hair removal. This technique uses a pulse of laser light to destroy the part of the hair follicle where new growth occurs so the hair does not grow back in the treated area. This will be the first in a series of pages that serve as a "local guide" to specific businesses and services in a geographic area.

Guide to Laser Hair Removal Providers in Scottsdale

Here is an overview of some of the major clinics offering laser hair removal services in Scottsdale. When selecting a provider, you will want to consider factors such as price, scheduling availability, customer service, and the reputation the business has earned. Safety should always be your number one concern when deciding where you want to have your service performed. Whenever possible, I will share my own personal recommendations for any locations I have done business with and had a positive experience.

1. Laser for Less - Don't let the name fool you on this one! I've actually used them before and they are both professional and affordable. While it may sound like a low-budget hair removal operation, they have been in business since 2001 and have plenty of experience performing successful treatments. Their Scottsdale facility is centrally located on the Southeast corner of Shea and 92nd street. They offer services starting as low as $29 for eyebrow hair removal ranging up to around $270 for two full legs and feet. They also offer further package discounts and price matching for other service providers.

2. Neos Medspa - They offer laser hair removal services along with a variety of other non-surgical skin care treatments and procedures. They offer services for the face, upper lip, back, chest, legs, underarms, and the bikini area. They will give potential clients a free online consultation and customize a treatment package to your needs. Their facility in Scottsdale is at the Scottsdale Fashion Square mall on the northwest corner of Scottsdale Road and Camelback. (they do have a private entrance for customers who do not wish to enter through the mall).

3. Nu U Medspa - Provides hair removal treatments for both men and women. Their laser technicians give a free consultation to find your skin type and develop a custom treatment plan based on your needs. Their Scottsdale office is in the Paradise Valley mall at 4550 East Cactus Road. They are open Monday through Saturday from 10AM to 9PM and on Sunday from 11AM to 7PM. They recently started a membership program where clients can earn free treatments and discounts for loyalty.

4. Ultra Smooth Skin Laser Hair Removal - Located in the heart of Scottsdale at the Gainey Village Health Club and Spa, Ultra Smooth Skin provides laser services for men and women. According to their website, they are using the machine that industry professionals voted as the most safe and effective on the market. They are the winner of the "Best of Scottsdale 2008 - Skin Treatments" award by the U.S. Local Business Association. A nurse practitioner with extensive credentials performs all of their treatments to maximize safety. Their office hours are Monday through Saturday from 8AM to 8PM.

DIY Kits

Do you prefer a do it yourself approach? There are several new at home DIY laser hair removal kits if you would rather not deal with a clinic and don't mind spending a little money. Most of these home lasers range in price from around $450 to as much as $700.

If you are only needing to get rid of hair in a small area such as your upper lip, brow, or underarms; it is typically more economical to just visit a local clinic and have your service performed by a trained professional. Remember that while you can do a lot of beauty routines at home, sometimes you are better off taking advantage of a trained, experienced, and certified professional technician. On the other hand, if you have several areas to remove hair from; a home hair removal device may end up saving you money in the long run. Remember that it takes several sessions to see permanent results.

WOW, I did not know there were home laser options available. Still a little pricey, but cheaper than office visits I would imagine. If only hair would grow only where you wanted it...LOL! Thanks for sharing your insight. :)
